Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She is an American Mexican actress. She sings as well. Her mom raised her in the USA and she was subject to numerous racial slurs that left her feeling like a non-person. When she attended a 9th grade school audition in which she was praised for her voice as she built confidence. This not only increased confidence in herself, but it also changed the direction she wanted to go in her career. In 1992, she earned her diploma from the New York's Julliard School. As she was turning 23 years old, she launched her journey on Broadway in the Paul Simon musical The Capeman. Then, when she was 23 her first film debut was You've received mail. The part in The lad from The Lake was her biggest breakthrough, bringing herself an award called the Tony Award in addition to the acclaim of critics for her role. Her fame grew by appearing on Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. A singer by profession She has also recorded songs as well as an extensive work. She is an activist who strives in the cause of LGBT equality.
