Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights activist, author as well as a model and actress. Ali MacGraw is known for movies such as Love Story, Goodbye Columbus and The Getaway. New York was her home and she was brought up in a creative environment. She began working as a photography assistant and then turned to modeling and acting. Her name was highlighted in her two first films and received Golden Globe Award for Most Promising newcomer. MacGraw's 1970 film Love Story proved a major success and earned her international fame as well as several awards including an Academy Award' nomination and the Golden Globe award. Within three years she had been voted as the number one female box-office starter in the world. Her handprints and autograph were engraved at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. Also, she appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, and other films. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography, was released. MacGraw has been married three times.
