Lita Rossana Ford She was born in the United Kingdom and was an American musician, singer, and writer. In the latter part of the 70s, she was the lead guitar for the hard-rocking all-girl band The Runaways. While the group did not make much progress in America, they were hugely popular overseas. That was the case especially in Japan. The band broke up in 1979, Ford embarked upon a successful solo career in the world of heavy metal. She started taking voice lessons before releasing her debut album "Out For Blood" which was followed by "Dancin" in the Edge. Both albums failed to get much attention and Ford disappeared out of the scene for a couple of years. The year was 1988, when she debuted her most successful album "Lita". The single "Kiss me Deadly" and ballad "Close My Eyes Forever" became huge hit songs. Unfortunately her success was short-lived and she disappeared in the world of music for many years. Then she returned after the release of 'Black in 1995. Then she released 'Wicked wonderland' almost 15 years later. The year 2016 brought the release of her latest studio album "Time Capsule". Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
